100 Prints Project #27 - Flag

Taken during a summer trip to Duluth.  My daughter was in the front seat of our vehicle holding this little flag and I was sitting in the back.  The light was beautiful.  If you look closely, you can see her in the side mirror of the truck.  One of my favorite images ever.  I hope you like it.

100 Prints Project #26 - Grand Portage Fort

Taken at the National Monument in Grand Portage.  One of the first images I created when I made the switch from color slides to black and white film.  An early indicator of my love of pattern and texture.

100 Prints Project #25 - Fence

Taken at a town baseball game at Black Sox Park in Freeport, Minnesota -  my home town.  I think it was the only photo I took that day.  Another example of my quirky vision.  Hope you like it.

100 Prints Project #24 - Wet Concrete

Taken in downtown Minneapolis on a rainy evening while I was waiting for the bus. I loved the combination of the texture and the shadows. I intentionally chose a very shallow depth of field and focused on a small area that had a bit more interesting texture than some of the rest of the stone. Hope you like it.

100 Prints Project #23 - Isaac

Isaac is one of the most photogenic people I have ever photographed. Within a few minutes of meeting him he had won me over. I told him early on that if he looked closely into my lens he might be able to see the fairy that lived in there. I don't know if he believed that or not, but he was awesome at connecting with the camera. I had a great time photographing him and his family and especially his beautiful baby sister. One of the photographic highlights of my summer for sure.
