100 Prints Project #3 - Birch Trees

This image was taken in front of the Minneapolis Public Library. I've thought for awhile about going back after it's rained to take another image with the slate wet to see how that looks. An oldie but goodie taken on Ilford FP4 125, which is my favorite black and white film.

  1. Now I really want to hurt you. The perfect birch/aspen photo is still an outstanding item on my list. This is amazing - the razor sharp focus on the first tree, gradually softening as you move into the photo, the leading lines, the contrast of the stone with the tree bark - this is real art. I feel like a fraud.
