Sunrise on Oberg Mountain

A beautiful October morning on Oberg Mountain.  It was a physical challenge for me to climb and by the time I got up there most of the spots with the greatest vantage point of Lake Superior and the forested hills were already full of other photographers.  I got myself into an empty spot that was basically behind everyone else and was rewarded with this view.  In the end I loved it.  Oberg Mountain is one of the most beautiful places in the fall.  I hope to be able to get there again sometime in the future.

Macro Monday

Bluebells from Carley State Park.  Much, if not all, of my macro work is done with a very shallow depth of field.  I let go of sharpness on this one and went for a very soft kind of dreamy look instead.

Double the beauty

These daisies are my favorite flowers.  A few years ago I had a garden full of them.  The garden is gone now, but I think often about the sea of yellow that used to be in the backyard.

I'll be taking a break from posting for about a week or so.  Hopefully, I'll have some new images to share when I'm back.  Take care everyone.
